Word of the day: שלט - sign, billboard

This is a random שֶׁלֶט shelet "street sign" taken from the Internet.

It reads (with vowel signs added):

The first three words make a triple smichut construction: הֲפָצָה hafatza "distribution" becomes הֲפָצַת hafatzat, סְפָרִים sfarim "books" becomes סִפְרֵי sifrei, and קֹדֶשׁ ~ קודש kodesh "sanctity, holiness" remains as it is. Chained together, these words literally mean "distribution of books of holiness".

The surname מיללער Miller is written according to the Yiddish orthography: an ע ayin is used to indicate the e sound. In Hebrew, no special letter would be inserted to indicate that sound, and the ל lamed wouldn't have been doubled - it would be just מילר.
